SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Folks were kicking off the new season of hockey in downtown Savannah Sunday as the men's adult inline hockey league began its season at Supergoose Sports.
The league is made of up 8 teams and includes players from just about every profession including doctors, lawyers and police officers all playing on teams together.
In addition to the league games on Sundays, players from six to sixty play four times a week. Those involved are thrilled to be able to play hockey here in the south.
"It brings a lot of people who have roots in the northern climates to come down here and get together," said Pooler Police Chief Mark Revenew.
"They do soccer, they do roller derby here. It's a really great facility."
