SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
A man was hit in the face with a pellet gun while he was driving along Bee Road late Monday afternoon with his family in the car.
It happened at about 38th Street and Bee Road. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said a student at Ombundsmen Alternative Learning Center had just come of his school bus and pulled out his pellet gun.
Witnesses said a teen pulled out a pellet gun and fired at the car. The victim's wife told WTOC that she saw it happen from her passenger seat. She pointed out the teen and he was put in the back of a Savannah-Chatham Metro Police car.
The teen, who was still in his school uniform, was put into the back of a squad car.
The victim's wife told WTOC that the shooter's mom was on her way to take the teen to court because he has done the same thing before. He decided he was going to do it again.
The driver has a cut on his face, and it swollen. He was not taken to a hospital.
Savannah Chatham Public School System Police are investigating.
