ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

A man wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred July 23 has been taken into custody on St. Helena Island.

Colby Coker was arrested Monday night. He's accused of robbing the office at Wilderness Cove Apartments. Beaufort police said Coker walked into the office before the robbery pretending to be a customer and later returned with a gun and stole cash and jewelry from an employee of the complex.

Coker was located at a home on Sebring Drive on St. Helena. Police said Coker tried to avoid authorities by hiding under the home.

The U.S. Marshal Service, Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and the Beaufort police worked together on the case.
