ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -
A man wanted in connection
with a robbery that occurred July 23 has been taken into custody on St. Helena
Island.
Colby Coker was arrested
Monday night. He's accused of robbing the office at Wilderness Cove Apartments.
Beaufort police said Coker walked into the office before the robbery pretending
to be a customer and later returned with a gun and stole cash and jewelry from
an employee of the complex.
Coker was located at a home
on Sebring Drive on St. Helena. Police said Coker tried to avoid authorities by
hiding under the home.
The U.S. Marshal Service,
Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and the Beaufort police worked together on the
case.
