EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

One man is in custody facing several charges after deputies say he enticed and solicited a 14 year old middle school student for sex. The Effingham County Sheriff's Office received information that Lamar Beaupre, 25, of Rincon, was conversing with a minor whom he met on Facebook.

During the investigation, investigators say they discovered that Beaupre was soliciting the minor for sex and disseminating nude photographs of himself.

Deputies arrested Beaupre at his residence in Rincon Tuesday shortly after 3 p.m. Beaupre has been charged with enticing a minor for indecent purposes, distribution of material depicting sexual conduct, and computer and electronic pornography and child exploitation.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Hugh Futrell, Beaupre was a volunteer Southside Firefighter for six months up until December 2011.

Investigators say he had many pictures in his firefighter uniform on his Facebook page and they are looking into whether he used his former job to entice the teen and manipulate her into trusting him.
