I-16 EB lane closed part of this week

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

A temporary right lane closure is scheduled for Interstate 16 eastbound Monday through Wednesday, weather permitting.

Georgia DOT maintenance crews have set up the lane closure for 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. The closure runs on I-16 from milemarker 160 to mile marker 162.

DOT crews will be repairing concrete slabs on the interstate.

Drivers are asked to slow down and they go through the construction zone. Signs, barrels and/or cones will be in place to alert drivers of upcoming changes.

Road crews and equipment will working close to active travel lanes.
