Olde Pink House hosts first "Carnival with a Twist"

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Olde Pink House Restaurant took a unique approach to your standard carnival Sunday, holding their inaugural "Carnival with a Twist."

The twist was in the foods. The restaurant took goodies you can typically buy at a carnival and turned them gourmet.

There was everything from truffle popcorn to specialty flavored cotton candy and even funnel cake sandwiches.

The event wasn't just focused on the food, but also bringing awareness to breast cancer.

"We are so excited," said manager Autumn Taylor.

"I mean not only do we get to help the community and get to know a lot of people around us, but our chefs have had an amazing time creating all these fun carnival foods as well as our cocktails that match each one of the foods."

One hundred percent of the proceeds from today's event will be donated to the Telfair Mammography Fund at St. Joseph's Candler.
