BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC)
The Bluffton Chamber of Commerce is not wasting any time getting out in the community.
40 businesses took part in the chamber's first business expo on Tuesday. From Latino magazine La Isla to employment agencies, they gathered to network and collaborate. The chamber, which began in January, already has over 200 members. Tuesday's expo was expected to draw a couple hundred people.
"This event is about networking. It's about businesses getting together and to get their word out about their business," says Shellie West-Hodges, Bluffton Chamber of Commerce executive director.
West-Hodges says the event is one of the chamber's first major programs and she is happy that booth space sold out over two weeks ago.
