Ft. Stewart, HAAF honored for energy saving initiatives

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

President Obama announced the winners of the 2012 GreenGov Presidential Awards on Tuesday.

The awards honor federal agencies, teams and individuals taking approaches to curbing waste, reducing energy and saving taxpayer money in operations.

Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield won the Building the Future category for incorporating forward thinking in policies and operations.
