The accident happened just before 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at the intersection of West Boulevard and Old Steele Creek Road.

Two children were among the eight injured; both had non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, CMPD told WBTV.

One patient was taken to the hospital with injuries described as potentially life-threatening, according to MEDIC.

Six of those injured were taken to CMC Main, and two were taken to  Presbyterian Main, MEDIC said.
