Brian Gale expected to take the stand Thursday

MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) -

Brain Gale was back in the courtroom Wednesday for day three of his murder trial.

He was brought to tears while listening to his own interviews that he gave to police shortly after investigators found his stepson Daniel Gale, 14, dead in a McIntosh County swamp.

Gale says they got lost and he left for help but the teen drowned in the dark of the night. Gale says it was an accident but investigators say that is not how he made it sound to his own family.

Gale is expected to take the witness stand Thursday morning.
