Kris Medlen
Fredi GonzalezThe Braves are back in the post season, but this time instead of having a whole series to determine the winner, this is a one game showdown with the St. Louis Cardinals to see which team will meet the Washington Nationals in the NL Division Series.
Kris Medlen will start for the Braves who have won his last 23 starts. He's says he is ready to pitch even if the game will start at the unusual time of 5:07. "It does not matter," said Medlen. "It's kind of how it's been my entire life, just give me the ball and let me go play. From high school, little league, whatever, I just love playing the game and I just want the ball."
Manager Fredi Gonzalez said of the 1-game series, "It's crazy but both teams are playing the same rules. We'll see what that brings tomorrow."
