TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) - The Tybee Island Pirate Festival brought out the crowds Saturday.
That was great for local venders who look forward to the festival each year to help boost sales during what can be a fairly slow time of year.
There was plenty to do and see, including an art show, a puppet show, live music and a whole lot more.
Participants say they are happy to see tybee so full of visitors.
"Love having the people here, they're from all over the place," said Susan Kelleher, owner of Seaside Sisters.
"Then looking at the costumes, pirates, the gals dressed up, it's been great fun. We're here till 11 o'clock and it's been a really great crowd. you know, sometimes I was a little worried about it, you know this is my first time doing a booth down here, but so far so good, it's been fabulous."
The Tybee Island Pirate Festival continues through Sunday.
