About 12:40am this morning, emergency crews and police were notified of an accident on Interstate 95 northbound near the 103 mile marker in Pooler. Three cars had collided on the interstate.
Pooler firefighters had to get a passenger out of a black Honda. He and the driver were taken to Memorial Health for treatment of injuries.
A second car and a taxi slid about 500 feed before hitting the guardrail. Four people from the car--including two children--were taken to Memorial Health with various injuries. No one in the taxi was injured.
Pooler police are continuing the investigation into the cause of the wreck. They have not released any names or conditions.
