Shooting, police chase suspect expected in court Thursday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A man accused of shooting another man in Savannah is expected in court Thursday for arraignment.  

Darvin Morris was arrested after a shooting outside of a convenience store near 39th and East Broad streets in Savannah, and then leading police on a wild chase across Chatham County Wednesday afternoon. 

Officers said they knew Morris was from Port Wentworth so they set up at Hwy. 21. Port Wentworth police had to perform a PIT maneuver which caused Morris' car to overturn. Morris suffered minor injuries. Police said a gun was found in his vehicle.  

The shooting victim is expected to survive.
