Folks are getting ready for the Fourth of July in Savannah. In just a few days, the skies over River Street will be lit up with fireworks. Today, WTOC got a sneak peek at the setup for the extravaganza.
The fireworks display will be 22 minutes long. This year, the display will be bigger, brighter and set to music. Organizers are working hard to make sure people are wowed by what they see.
"The person on the street will walk away saying, 'Oh, wow, that was great, it's outstanding, did you see the big bright one?'" said Brent Fisher with Falcon Fireworks. "They won't know the name of the firework, but they will leave talking about them."
The fireworks will be over River Street on July 4 at 9:30pm. And don't leave early to avoid the traffic: organizers say you don't want to miss the finale.
