BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

Two Beaufort County art teachers have been selected to receive Artsonia's Annual Leadership Awards for the second year in a row.  The annual recognition goes to only 10 teachers from each state.

Bluffton Elementary School art teacher Karen Beltz and Coosa Elementary School art teacher Donna Sams received the recognition for the first time in 2011 and now again for 2012.

Artsonia, a privately funded organization, operates the world's largest online student art gallery and features more than 12 million works of student art on its website, www.artsonia.com

Bluffton Elementary Principal Christine Wright-Brown and Coosa Elementary Principal Carmen Dillard said that their schools, thanks to the efforts of Beltz and Sams, have two of South Carolina's largest online student art galleries.
