SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Locals gathered today for the very first meeting about the Wilmington Island farmers' market.
Organizers are hoping to get some community feedback about the market. They are planning to have the first one in March of next year on a Saturday.
they have yet to find a location for the market but say that will not slow them down, plans will continue because it is something the citizens in the area need.
"We're really proud the be spear heading this project because our goals are to bring a community together, strengthen the neighborhoods we live in, support local businesses, and build traditions, for specifically Wilmington Island," said market manager Deborah Mcinrow.
