Alternating lane closures set for SR 21 in Rincon

RINCON, GA (WTOC) -

Temporary lane closures are in place this weekend on State Route 21 near the intersection of Ninth Street in Rincon. The alternating lane closures are scheduled for nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting, according to the Georgia Dept. of Transportation.

Crews will be installing an 18-inche storm drain pipe under the roadway, according to the DOT.

Signs, barrels and/or cones will be used to let drivers know of the upcoming changes.

Road workers and equipment will be working near travel lanes. Drivers should slow down and use extra caution in the work area and should expect delays.
