BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced on Tuesday plans to add
more jobs at its Brunswick, Ga., facility by about 20 percent in the next year
to support growing volume in completions work.
The facility currently has 174 employees, including nearly
90 technicians.
"Adding about 35 positions is significant growth for
Gulfstream Brunswick and a boost to the community as a whole," said Mark Burns,
president of Gulfstream Product Support, in a statement. "As we grow, customers
can continue to count on the personalized service Gulfstream Brunswick's
employees are known for and the outstanding interiors they produce."
Completions work includes aircraft design, selection and
installation of the cabin configuration and layout, furniture, seats, carpets
and sidewall treatments, entertainment and communication systems and galley and
lavatory fixtures, according to a company news release.
Gulfstream Brunswick, which is located at the Brunswick
Golden Isles Airport, houses a completions center and service center. Last
year, the facility serviced more than 100 aircraft.
