STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Folks in Statesboro walked to grant wishes to terminally ill children this weekend.
Crowds turned out for the annual Make A Wish "Walk for Wishes" at Georgia Southern University this weekend. Folks from eight different counties raising money to help children with life threatening illnesses. All the money raised will go back into the community.
"We have 14 kids in this area who are waiting for their wishes to be funded, so it's important that we do this," said Jill Thornton.
WTOC's Dal Cannady was leading the line as the 2012 chair. The group will be raising money through December 14.
