Calvary Baptist opens up its trunks for trick-or-treaters

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Some children getting a head start on trick - or- treating Sunday!

Children of all ages came out in their Halloween costumes to Calvary Baptist Temple. The church held its annual "Trunk or Treat" event Sunday evening.

The event is one of the biggest community outreach programs for Calvary. Members make sure these trick-or-treaters have a great time while staying safe.

"Well it's wonderful for the church to be able to do this and we're all just very happy to participate, we love it," said Marcie Hamilton.

"Our of these are our church families that have their trunks open, like you would have a house open in a neighborhood, so this is good so it's safe for the children."

Last year more than twelve hundred people came to the Trunk or Treat event.
