TATTNALL CO., GA (WTOC) -

A man wanted by several law enforcement agencies in Georgia has been captured in Florida.

Chad Dasher, 37, is accused of stealing cars and running off with them, and then doing the same thing in another town. He was wanted by the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office, the Evans County Sheriff's Office, the Appling County Sheriff's Office, the Bacon County Sheriff's Office, and the Georgia State Patrol.

Dasher was captured in Florida while sleeping in a vehicle he had stolen somewhere else, according to the Tattnall County Sheriff's office. Dasher was arrested Wednesday near Cocoa, Fla., by the United States Marshals Service's Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force.

A surveillance team spotted the stolen vehicle camouflaged under palm fronds, and the arrest team approached the vehicle and found Dasher inside, according to U.S. Marshals. After arresting Dasher, a handgun and the stolen vehicle were recovered.

Dasher faces these charges: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, burglary, theft by taking, theft by taking a motor vehicle and felony fleeing.

"He would take four-wheelers, even farm tractors to go to the next vehicle and steal something else. When we found that, he'd be gone with something else. It was an ongoing thing," said Tattnall County Sheriff Quinton Rush told WTOC.

Dasher remains jailed in Florida. There is no word on when he'll be brought back to Georgia. He faces burglary and theft charges in Tattnall and Evans counties.
