The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Thousands of voters cast their ballots before Tuesday.
In Chatham County, fewer voters cast early ballots in this election compared to 2008. There were 33,335 registered voters of 150,380 who cast early ballots. In 2008, 53 percent cast early ballots, but the early voting period was also 45 days long. This election the early voting period was only 21 days.
In Effingham County, the number of early votes cast was up 5 percentage points. There were 8,739 or 27 percent of early voters out of 29,632 registered voters voted early. That's up from 22 percent or about 6,000 voters in 2008.
In Bulloch County, early voting numbers were up in this election compared to 2008. There were 10,911 early votes cast out of 35,658 registered voters. That's up from 8,515 early votes cast in 2008.
