Storm drain work closes area median

BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

The WSAV/Hampton Lakes Sales Center median crossing along US 278 will close Wednesday to Friday so a new storm drain pipe can be installed in the median.

Traffic entering the business center will need to access from eastbound US 278.

The median crossing will reopen to traffic after the construction of the new storm drain pipe is complete.

APAC Southeast will continue paving the proposed widening of US 278 each night on both the eastbound and westbound Lanes from HWY 170 to Simmonsville Road.

Drivers are being asked to caution when traveling through the eastbound and westbound sections of roadway and be prepared for the shifted travel lanes.
