The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place late Wednesday night outside of a Bluffton apartment complex.
Sheriff's deputies responded to Simmons Cay Apartment at approximately 11:30 p.m. Deputies met with two 20-year-old male victims upon arrival. They reported being robbed by two unknown black males.

The two men were armed with handguns and demanded that the victims open the doors. The suspects then pulled the victims from the vehicle and pushed them to the ground at gunpoint.
The victims fled the area on foot, escaping unharmed. When they returned to the scene a short time later, their cell phones were missing and the suspects were gone.
The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 18 and 25, both approximately 5'07", 160 lbs. One of the suspects was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jogging pants. The other suspect was reportedly wearing a grey skull cap, grey sweatshirt and khaki pants.
