STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Police were already searching for Julius Owen, 27, but their search intensified Thursday when they discovered his vehicle.

"We are currently processing it to see if there is any suggestions about where he might be," explained Wendell Turner, Statesboro's director of public safety.

Family members reported him missing Wednesday after they had not heard from him since Monday afternoon. Turner said Owen is diagnosed as schizophrenic and takes daily medication. Police and relatives worry they don't know where he could go or how he could behave without the medicine.

Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at 912.764.9911 or you may also submit information to www.tipsoft.com or by texting a tip to "TIPSSPD plus your message" to 274637 (CRIMES). All information is strictly confidential.
