Richmond Hill High School paid tribute to veterans in a ceremony on Friday morning.
The annual celebration honoring both veterans and active duty members included the band, chorus and drill team.
School officials said students participated in several activities throughout the week and raised money for both the veterans hospital in Savannah ... and the Matthew Freeman Pens and Paper Project.
Col. Page, with the 3rd Sustainment Brigade at Fort Stewart, was the guest speaker.
"How do we thank the millions of veterans on their day? It can be as simple as saying thank you but sometimes it can be more. We can thank them by living our lives and enjoying America's greatness. We can thank them by taking full advantage of the rights they have defended," Page said.
