Savannah State to host Community Appreciation Day

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah State University has announced that they will hold a Community Appreciation day at Saturday's football game against Brthune-Cookman.

Local community groups and organizations of 10 or more people will be given free tickets to the game. The groups must RSVP with all the names of their group members before kick-off.

Savannah State faculty, staff and retirees will also receive free admission, as will members of the military with valid ID. 

Saturday's game also marks High School Band Day, with seven bands from around the state scheduled to attend. The bands will also perform three songs with the Coastal Empire Sound Explosion during the halftime show, and perform again after the game.

Tickets for the game are $5, and general parking is also $5.
