SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - All eyes are on Georgia, Savannah in particular as the International Clean Energy Conference is being held at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
The conference, which kicked off Sunday, will include more than 50 speakers from more than a dozen countries, all speaking about new and advanced was to produce and use clean energy.
Some of the participants of the event include Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson, US Senator Johnny Isakson and Georgia Governor Nathan Deal.
"I think it's a great opportunity for us to showcase what the state of Georgia and what we're doing in terms of energy technology," said Governor Deal. "We truly are one of the leading states in the country with regard to that and some outstanding things that are taking place in our state both from the invention side as well as the manufacturing side."
"So, it's nice to have international visitors and others other parts of the United States to come and see what's happening here in Georgia."
The energy conference will run through Tuesday, November 13.
