SCLC meeting set for Wednesday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference has a meeting scheduled for Wednesday night that's aimed at prevention in target areas.

The meeting is in response to eight people being shot on Nov. 3 at the Coastal Empire Fair.

The meeting will focus on prevention in these areas: Savannah gun buy back campaign; the Martin Luther King Jr. conflict resolution program and planned youth leisure, according to the SCLC.

The meeting takes place at 4 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Bull Street Public Library.
