SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The world's top investors, innovators, corporations, and government agencies meet in Savannah for a three-day conference on clean energy.

Monday is day two of the International Clean Energy Conference.

The conference kicked off Sunday and runs until Tuesday at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.

Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson gave opening remarks Monday morning and will be joined by Gov. Nathan Deal and U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson. 

From clean energy to clean technology and global security to sustainable cities, the Savannah International Clean Energy Conference brings.

The conference brings international exposure to costal Georgia and highlights the area's clean technology strengths. 

Savannah has been developing a clean energy technology sector, and the city organization has made a commitment to reduce energy consumption by 15 percent by the year 2020.
