PEMBROKE, GA (WTOC) -
One of three fugitives who escaped from the Emanuel County
jail on Saturday is accused of kidnapping two businessmen in Bryan County
earlier this year.
Cecil Dewitt Nelson, 32, and Antonio Lamount Murray, 38,
and Gary Lenion McDonald, 35, were arrested in February and charged with
conspiracy to commit a kidnapping and kidnapping.
Nelson pleaded guilty on Aug.16 to one count of conspiracy
to kidnap.
The first
kidnapping occurred Dec. 1 in Richmond Hill and the second happened Jan. 12 in
Pembroke.
The FBI said
Monday they are offering a $5,000 reward for information in finding Nelson.
Nelson was one of five other inmates at the Emanuel County
jail who escaped. Three of them have since been caught.
Nelson is from Pembroke and is suspected to have returned to
the area after his jail escape, according to the FBI.
