An overnight shooting in Savannah's midtown area has left a Savannah teenager critically wounded and police searching for suspects.
Shortly before 1am this morning, someone called police saying a man had been shot near the corner of East 32nd Street and Lennox Court. Officers found 18-year-old Jamell Kimble lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound to the head.
Ambulance crews rushed him to Memorial Health for treatment.
People in the area tell police they didn't see the gunman, but they did say he was in a blue Chevrolet Caprice, last seen heading south on Reynolds Street from the shooting scene.
Doctors tell detectives Kimble is expected to recover.
Police are asking for your help in finding his attackers. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 234-2020. A reward is being offered.
