The truck driver lies on the road as law men investigate
TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -
A motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon and now we know his name.
33-year-old Benjamin Holland of Ty Ty struck a truck hauling cotton on William Gibbs Road near the Docia community in Tift County.
Holland died at the scene.
Troopers say Holland was coming over a hill as the truck pulled out of a field.
"The motorcycle came over the hill, saw he cotton module truck then the motorcycle enter the west bound lane and struck the cotton module truck on the left hand side," said GSP Trooper Sgt. Stan Stalmaker.
No charges have been filed yet.
The State Patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating.
