SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

An investigation is under way into a fire that destroyed a vacant home early Tuesday morning.

Savannah firefighters were called at about 2 a.m. about the fire at a home on Apache Avenue near Roger Warlick Drive. Crews worked for nearly two hours to contain the blaze.

Officials say the home is unoccupied. No one was injured.

The walls of the house collapsed in on themselves, so crews had to basically tear parts of the house down to get to the hot spots that were under the collapsed walls.

The fire didn't threaten any surrounding homes.
