Water line treatment to be conducted in Lowcountry

BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority and Hilton Head PSD want to prepare Lowcountry residents for what to expect during the next 3 weeks while treatment on the water lines is being conducted.

Starting this weekend, BJWSA and HHPSD customers may notice a weird taste out of their tap.

The water companies will temporarily change the drinking water treatment method and flush lines throughout their service areas for a three-week period starting Nov. 17. Customers can use the water as normal but may notice a slight chlorine taste or odor and a brief discoloration.
