Community Collaborative to announce new 2013 event series

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Representatives from the Mayor's Office, Healthy Savannah, the Savannah Bicycle Campaign and several community partners will attend an announcement Wednesday for a new event series being launched in Savannah neighborhoods in 2013.

The new series will help blend physical activity, healthy foods and the arts throughout the communities.

The announcement for the Community Collaborative 2013 event series will take place Wednesday at Forsyth Park.

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that metro Savannah's unemployment rate declined to 7.1 percent in April, down three-tenths of a percentage point from 7.4 percent in March.
