Transitioning career event being offered to Savannah veterans

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah is home to more than 11,000 veterans, and on Wednesday they will all be getting a little help.

A free "Start Strong" military-transitioning career event is being held just for Savannah area veterans, active-duty service members and spouses.

The event will take place Nov. 14 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the University of Phoenix Savannah Campus, 8001 Chatham Center Drive.
