WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) -
The North Bridge of Cosgrove Avenue is a very popular spot for Lowcountry fishermen, but Wednesday's high tides caused problems for one man.
Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said a man parked his Toyota 4Runner on the banks of the Ashley River off Cosgrove Avenue Wednesday morning to fish, but a short time later, crews had to fish his SUV out of the river.
Francis said crews with Jennings Towing & Garage Inc. were called to the scene to remove the vehicle.
A Live 5 News viewer sent us the picture of the SUV sitting next to a boat in the water. A coastal flooding advisory in Charleston County lasted until 10 a.m.
