Accused FEAR member arrested in Savannah

Posted: Updated:

A man was indicted last week by a grand jury in connection with a terror group called Forever Endearing Always Ready.

Jeffrey Wayne Roberts Jr., 27, was indicted Nov. 5 by a Bryan County grand jury. He was arrested Tuesday by U.S. Marshals in Savannah.

He's charged with violations of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act for criminal gang activity in connection with FEAR; possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, specifically cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police assisted in locating Roberts who had not been previously charged with any crimes related to FEAR, according to the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office.

Roberts had been an Airman Recruit in the Navy until 2004.
