Wreck cleared on I-516 westbound

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Traffic is flowing smoothly again on Interstate 516 westbound.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to a wreck Thursday morning on Interstate 516 westbound. They closed the interstate near the Liberty Parkway overpass and rerouted traffic onto Bull Street and Montgomery streets.

Eastbound I-516 onto DeRenne Avenue remained open. Traffic was further tied up by another wreck in front of BoJangles causing back-ups onto I-516 eastbound.
