SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The 11th annual Waiting on a Cure Luncheon took place at the Marriott Riverfront Friday. The theme for the event was I Spy a Cure. Table hosts dressed up as spies and worked for tips. The event raises money for the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial Health.

"This year, we are purchasing a SPY Elite machine, which is used in breast reconstruction. It is major innovation. There are only about 40 hospitals in the country that have this machine," said Toby Hollenberg, Foundation Board and Waiting on a Cure Committee.

WTOC's Sonny Dixon served as the emcee for the event. They are still tallying the totals. An anonymous donor has also announced that they will match that total dollar for dollar.
