WASHINGTON (WTOC) -
U.S. Rep. John Barrow (GA-12) on Monday
kicked off his annual Holiday Cards for Our Troops program.
The community is invited to write holiday cards to soldiers who
are wounded from battle or stationed away from their families.
Barrow asks constituents to make or buy a holiday card, write a
message of thanks to a service member and then send or drop off the card - unaddressed and with an unsealed envelope - to
one of his district offices by Dec. 7.
Barrow and his staff will deliver them to service members on
behalf of the people of the 12th Congressional District.
The cards will be delivered to military personnel at the Walter
Reed National Military Medical Center. For more details about the program, call Barrow's office at 866.890.6236.
Those mailing their holiday cards should send them in a
separate envelope to one of Barrow's district offices:
