Oak trees were ripped out in the White Bluff Road project.
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Savannah officials
say the Georgia Department of Transportation has promised to fix damage on White
Bluff Road and save legacy oak trees that are still in danger.
Alderman
Tony Thomas told WTOC that DOT officials will replant the trees they cut down
as part of the paving project on White Bluff Road, which part of the Truman Parkway
project.
Two more 200-year-old oaks are also scheduled to
be cut down at Holland and Abercorn streets. Thomas said the state is looking
at saving those trees as well.
