Holocaust survivor Vera Hoffman speaks to students at St. Vincent's Academy.A Holocaust survivor spoke at St. Vincent's Academy on Monday.
Vera Hoffman gave students a firsthand account of her experience. Hoffman is originally from Hungary. She was 8 years old when her family was taken to a concentration camp.
She shared with the students what life was like before and after the war and liberation. But her overall message to students is to give everyone a chance.
"I try to teach them not to hate - to give everyone a chance - get to know people and try not to have prejudices because we are all God's creation," she said.
Students also visited the William Breman Jewish Heritage and Holocaust Museum in Atlanta.
