Gingerbread designs on display at Westin

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Scenes of the season have taken over the lobby and halls at the Westin. The gingerbread village is all set for friendly competition Monday night in Savannah's edible design competition.

The VIP judges include Jamie Deen and WTOC's Jody Chapin. There's an adult division and another for those age 17 and younger. The top prize is $1,500 for the adult winner and $500 for the younger champion.

On Friday, parents lined the Pine Barren Road, trying to retrieve their kids. The middle school students were relocated to West Chatham Elementary School after a suspicious package was found at West Chatham Middle School.
