The Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights kicks off Nov. 23 and runs until Jan. 1.
The children's charity non-profit, Savannah Harbor Foundation, is working with charities and organizations in the Savannah area on the interactive holiday experience.
Take a drive through of more than 60 larger-than-life lighted displays around the Savannah Harbor Road Course on Hutchinson Island. Displays feature everything from moving pirate ships to enormous nutcrackers and oversized teddy bears.
After the drive, families can park at the center of the Road Course in the pit and paddock, and enjoy activities and festive treats like s'mores and hot chocolate around a bonfire.
Staples Safari Zoo will present an exotic animal exhibition. There will also be a live nativity scene.
Register for Alive in Savannah, a fitness-oriented event on New Year's Eve Day, including a 5k, 10k, kids quarter-mile and various exercise challenges, ending with a fireworks show in the evening.
