University of Phoenix Savannah campus hosted a goal setting workshop Tuesday to help some of Savannah's youth identify goals and work toward success. The event entitled Live Your Dreams was put on for the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Empire. Children ages 5 to 18 spent the afternoon making a vision board. Organizers say getting the young ones involved is just as important as those ready to set out into the world.
"I think sometimes people are surprised that even as young as 4 and 5 years old and they have dreams. Now, those dreams may change overtime but they already have dreams in mind. You might run into a 5 year old who wants to be an actress or a businesswoman, so we are here to foster that dream. Even if it does change, the fact that they already have a dream and the fact that someone is supporting them is what's important. That is why we are here," said Melissa Jackson, University of Phoenix Savannah campus director.
Jackson also says the event is to promote education.
