Beaufort Co. Board of Education approves school calendar

BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

On Tuesday, the Beaufort County Board of Education approved the 2013-2014 school calendar.

The school year will start on Aug. 12, 2013 and end on June 5, 2014.

The calendar was one of two options presented. The other ended the year on May 29 but gave shorter holiday breaks.

With the approved calendar, students will get a five day Thanksgiving break and a two week vacation in December.
