CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - An overturned semi caused a headache for drivers Wednesday morning.
A semi carrying a heavy load was traveling on I-95 South Wednesday around 8 a.m. The semi went to take the ramp to go onto I-16 westbound and when it hit the curve it's load shifted, causing the semi to overturn, according to Pooler police.
The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, multiple trucks had to called to the scene to help try and lift the semi back upright.
The I-95 South ramp getting onto I-16 had to be shut down for a couple of hours while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic on I-16 was not affected.
The scene has been cleared and the ramp is now back open to traffic.
